One of the best parts about the winner of the car is the reliability of the setup. If you look at the HP package The EVO GT700 kit was installed. Powered by GIAC software this is a upgraded version of the old 4GT system with injectors, fuel pumps and boost hoses. None of the cars equipped with Todd's hoses missed a beat due to a blown hose. The car made mid 600RWHP (can't recall exactly) and is the same kit both EVO and myself sell. This is the kit that Xico and others have talked about for months. The brakes on the car are the same brakes we have been buying from Todd at 4500.00 verses some of the bigger systems out there costing nearly 15K. The car came in second in braking that was also compared to the Porsche Ceramic brakes. I use these brakes on my own car and have sold lord knows how many to customers. It was a win win combination. Hats off to Todd and congrats to Stu and Jessie. Job well done.
My car, umph well I would have liked to do better. Crown me the king of weight. I out weighed everyone. Nothing was removed from my car. It is a daily driver and will remain that way. Both seats were in the car as well as all my bumper supports and even the owners manuals. Some stickers a cage and a set of race seats and I showed up. To give you an idea of how the weight affected my car. Stu's/Jessie's car were running the EVO big brake package. Same thing I was, same pads, same fluid, same everything. That car came in 2nd in the braking and mine was 6th. My car also suffered on the track due to the weight. It was claimed to be neutral in handling so I did something right, but the weight killed me. I think we still did respectable in the HP department
A version of the GT700 was used for my car called the IA700RR. We laid down 680RWHP and 744RWTQ. Sure that didn't help on the track either. No complaints on my end. I am happy with the 4th, when my car gets back tomorrow a tire change and throw my seats back in and it is business as usual
Congrats to all the guys that showed up to the shootout. Rob, Bryan, the Akkurat team and certainly Todd and Garrett. Great showing by all and a heck of a good time.

Stephen, your car was and is "SICK". All these cars were so evenly matched it was crazy (OK, except for Todds... that was just plain insane). What was cool to me is how everyone came together to support and cheer for twin turbos in general. On paper, #1 vs #8 looks so extreme. In reality, the differences are so amazingly close. My hats off to everyone and congrats to all TUNERS who have each done so much in one year! Special thanks to Jesse Garris, who talked me in to doing something beyond exhaust and shocks. Stu
It was great. One thing that should be mentioned and hasn't is Todd's crew. Mike and John worked like their was no tomorrow and because of them that big beast made it to the strip(drag that is not club) the next day.
Trending Topics
Todd, John and Mike at Evo get all the props, world class for sure. Oh and Garrett from GIAC made everything smooth, he is unreal. Stephen did you get any video of your car on the drags? Unreal to watch an all wheel drive lay scratch like that.
All of us at EVO had an amazing experience at the shootout last week. This event gave us all the opportunity to push the limits of these great cars. We came to the event with our prototype 900 + HP car as well as with Stu’s GT700 car with our “off the shelf†bolt on products. Our prototype car spent many months “under the knife†while Stu’s car was built from a mechanical side of things in about 1 week. With all of the time spent on our prototype car it was still not enough time to work out all the bugs. The car suffered from a clutch failure which caused us to miss the track competition. John and Mike spent the past few months putting their blood sweat and tears into this project and failure was not an option. They pulled the transmission (with Stephen from IA’s help) and got the car back on its feet to compete in the ¼ mile and braking competition. Bottom line is Power is great but without consistency, it will not win races. Stu’s car on the other hand, performed flawlessly at all of the events and though it did not make the most HP, it was a well rounded car. All of us have learned what it takes to build great cars, I respect and enjoyed meeting all of those that attended and the sponsors / promoters who put on a great event. It was great to meet everyone and have a friendly competition where truly everyone wins in the end.
Thank you all who have supported us including Garrett at GIAC for his dedication to perfection and quest for unlimited HP, Stephen from IA who helped us with the last minute motor swap Sunday night prior to the event, Stu and Jesse for allowing us to build your winning beast and to John, Mike and the entire crew at EVO for their endless dedication and willingness to survive no matter what comes their way.

Congrats to everyone who entered!!!!
We (FVD) are also very happy with our performance!! We decided that we would go to this shootout with our bolt on kit and show what our basic bolton street kit can do. We threw on a level 4 kit sitting on the shelves, some Recaro seats, BBS wheels and called it a day. Like Stephen, our car was pretty much loaded with rear seats, spare tires, etc (weighed in about 3400 I believe). We were also the only ones there running PSS9's which hurt us with the road course and braking so considering these things we are VERY VERY happy with the finish.
Watch out next year though, we won't have a little bolt on kit
Evan
PS-I will let Bryan post all the thank yous as I was not there
