GIAC Flashloading officially available!

As of this evening guys I can officially release that flash loading for the TTs is now available. This means that no longer must you desolder anything from the ECUs. We simply place a plug in the OBD II port, read down the proper information for your vehicle and reload the performance software in its place. No errors, no soldering, no cracking over the cover. All the software you have received through the older soldered version is available in a flashload. If you send the ECU through the mail the ECU will be flashed and checked on the bench. As usual GIAC writes all the software in a factory manner so that everything is left in tact, all adaptive functions and safety margins are in place.

If the dealer flashes over your program the GIAC dealer that flashed your ECU will have that stock file and can simply reflash the ECU back to your performance file. No hassles with dealers.

Can I get upgraded this way when I will send you my ECU (going Stage III ---> Stage IV)?

or my ECU is already solder with a chip, and can not be turn?

I think is a more clean set up.

Thanks

Pierre,
It can be swapped. Even with the soldered version we keep the stock files on all of our customers for future need.

MKW there is also a solution for you as well. Not a problem.

There is going to be an option for the end user to change programs. It however is not released yet. Very soon.

Does the solution require pulling the ECU box or can the OBD II port be used only . That's the gist of my original question . TIA.

If you have a local GIAC dealer near you and as long as the program you have now is not hard encrypted then the ECU will not have to be removed. It can simply be reflashed. If you have a GIAC program now the ECU will have to be removed to update to the flash software.

My current program ( not GIAC) can be overwritten / reflashed by the dealer if there were a mandatory factory ECU update .I chose that option . Is that the same as " not hard encrypted " ?
