First of all, kudos to Peter for the challenging a Pcar to a quarter mile sprint. His GTR is a beast and ran a best 11.1 at 129. His car is strong!!!! We ran twice, but this is my quickest at 10.70. Thanks Peter, I'm sure there will be a rematch huh? Enjoy

Yes, it was RWD then as well. I'm not sure how it would run with AWD. I wouldn't be much different. Maybe a tad slower because of the extra weight.

As you can see, my car is AWD and the traction control was set to race mode...the car was on an ice skating rink late in the day yesterday and I could NOT get another clean run in. You know when an AWD car with traction control still partly on is slipping and sliding the track is GONE! LOL Great run buddy...

p.s. as for a rematch, sure! Why not? It's rather pointless b/c my car is a 130 mph car and yours is a 133 mph car so you should yank me everytime, but it would be fun!

Peter, did you use launch control ?

(FYI , a lightly modded GTR in a MOTOR shootout, recently ran 11.75 @ 123 mph without launch control..so your 11.1 is smoking)

rafiki - no, no launch control was used on the 11.1@130 run. I simply took my foot off the brake and floored the throttle. I tried using launch control and the results were similar to the result you see in the video posted about...ICE SKATING! The track was just crap by the late afternoon...

Eric - 129.95 mph = 130 mph! As for mods, the car has the BL600 kit (BoostLogic) and we will be revealing mods/dyno numbers/etc...on Mon or Tues. Basically the car has downpipes, y-pipe, boost controller, hard IC pipes replacing the stock rubber ones and a custom tune. We can line our cars up and run from a roll at TX2K10... She did a 7.80 60-130 so I'm hoping that in 50 degree weather she can turn a 7.50 or better...

Great #'s for what looks like a modest mod list. Damn boosted cars. I'd love to run you at TX2K10. My guess is if we raced 3 you would win one due to a bad launch or missed shift on my part. I haven't drag raced since TX2K9 and I'm sure I won't before TX2K10.

I'm going to have to go out and get a new 60-130 when the temps get cooler up here. It has been an unseasonably warm 80 degrees this past week.
