New owner, few questions

i Just purchased a 2003 996tt and im pretty excited about driving and modding it. I do have a few questions (and i did search)

1) Is it possible to put the 997 Gt2 Side Rockers (side skirts) on the 996 Turbo? i really like the small difference it makes

2) What size Ruf Style wheels should i get. i know i will need to buy 19s but i want the right size. i have seen 19x8 f and 19x11 rear but would those work? any pictures?

3) are there any adjustable shocks available for the 996tt other than Mortons, i was trying to find some koni sports (yellow)

thank you

Welcome....

For susp: in addittion to the OEM options of x73 (GT3) setup and GT2 (forgot code) setups (these are not adjjustable), there are the Bilstein PSS9 or PSS10, JIC, and Motons (all are popular). I believe Techart and RUF setups were repackaged Bilsteins, but someone can correct if I am wrong. There are pros and cons to each, so search and do alot of reading here to get a complete understanding of each. I also have PSS9s, but there is a limit to the drop height to GT3 height. PSS10s do not have the same restriction, but were not avail when I purchased the PSS9s.

Wheel choices are very individual, but as to sizes most professional distributors working in high end wheels (like RUFs) will guide you into the correct offsets. Recommend using one of the 6speed sponsors to the right ------->>>>>>
The guys at wheel enhancement are exceptional.

Otherwise, I doubt 997 body work will fit a 996.

Have fun with the mods...

I think Techart makes side skirts to fit the 996tt as well as a GT2 style front bumper cover. These are made from the same flexible material as the factory parts (ie not fiberglass or CF). PSS10 are nice for the street but you'll have to get adjustable upper rear control arms and toe steer arms to get streetable alignment specs. 19x8 and 19x11 should work fine (you might even get away with 19x8.5 and 19x11.5) but on a lowered car be prepared to roll the rear fender lips.
