Upgrade from Stock wheels/tires - comments or advice?

Doing a little research while waiting the arrival of my White 2002 911 TT and was looking into wheels/tires/suspension upgrades.

- I want to dump the stock 18" wheels, does everyone agree 19" wheels are the way to go? Street driving, no winter weather. I ask because the current 18" PS2's tires are brand new.

- I'd like to lower the car a bit so the tires fill the wheel wells but not run into issues like hitting driveways and tire rub.

- I think the new 19" rim size should be:
19 x 8.5
19 x 11

- I think the new 19" tires size should be:
235/35-19
315/25-19

- I'm looking at some 19" Turbo II wheels which should work with 7mm spacers. Any problem with this set up?

- Regarding suspension upgrades. I am following the KW/PSS10 thread but wanted to ask if there is a better alternative for me. I want to accomplish two things, lower the car just a bit so it looks better with the wheels and firm suspension a tad. Don't plan on tracking the car.

Consider I don't even have the car yet (argh - on it's way from the east coast) I won't decide on the suspension till I drive it a bit.

Any advice or comments would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Certainly going to handle better on 18s and have better traction but most folks do end up running 19s with that tire size. I'd get a ride in a car with coil overs that you're looking at first and see what the ride is like on 18s vs 19s if you can first. The pSS10 is very much a street level set up. The kw's run a stiffer spring and have more adjustability.
