rear decklid/trunk stuck

its happened twice now, it gets stuck, if i push the button i can hear the motor working but no click noise to signify its released, it will open if i gently pull up the lid when someone else pushes the release button

anyone else ever have this problem ? is this an easy fix ?

Mine sometimes behaves the same way, but not always. The most recent time I had my wife press the button and it came unlatched very easily when I stood back there, but prior to that I tried to do it myself 5 or 6 times with no luck. I'm all ears as to whether or not there is an easy fix or adjustment to this.

  • lube the latch assembly
  • adjust how snug the hatch is held down by screwing in-out the right-left bumper stops

got2 is infamous around these parts
There are two rubber stoppers on the bottom of the lid. Try letting them out a bit by turning them counter-clockwise. Should help to "push" up on the latch when you release it with the switch.
