Which double din did you go with? I'm debating between the kenwood dnx or the pioneer avic series. I'm hoping you can post some pics of your install also.

i'm picking up a kenwood unit tonight, did a lot of research and seems everyone is happy with them, i also just prefer the way the unit looks compared to others on the market

Thanks best tint, Ive heard good things about kenwood. However, the navigation map updates are very important to me. The Pioneer AVIC have had the 2009 map update and the older Kenwood Dnx series has no updates so far.

buzz, good pick on the kenwood. Are you getting the DNX-9140? If you could take pics of the install that would be great. I'm looking to do the same thing in a few weeks and would love to have some detailed pictures to help me out.

i'm actually having a shop do the install, i'm prepping it though, moving climate controls etc, i just want them to do the actual hook up as i'm not very electrically minded and dont want to risk blowing the thing up

i'll take pics once its done

i'm not that bothered about the lack of updates for the nav, i wont be using it very often

there is a good thread i have bookmarked on my laptop at home, it details a full install of a 2 din unit, i'll post it up later

here it is https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...diy-stuff.html

kenwood units DO HAVE map updates for 2009. the 2009 models come with 2009 maps and the older you can buy from garmin for $99+shipping or you can get a from an authorized dealer.
