OK, here's the deal...I have been able to lock in rates for shipping cars ENCLOSED through a broker friend of mine that has done right by me on 5+ occasions (he is actually actively shipping 2 cars for me right now). As many of you know, shipping a car cross country is typically $1,200+ each way, as you will see below, he is doing our community a favor and is basically passing on his cost to help us out. This deal in no way benefits me or the event...
I need ONE person in Los Angeles, Miami, Baltimore and Chicago to step up and be the "point of contact" for those cities to help organize/coordinate this whole thing for your city.
Pick up would be Tuesday March 16, 2010 and drop off would be Thursday March 18, 2010 in Houston. The cars would then leave to go back home on Sunday March 21, 2010. These dates can be changed based on each particular city and the cars coming.....
Los Angeles to Houston and Houston back to Los Angeles
2-4 cars - $700 each way
5+ cars - $650 each way
Miami to Houston and Houston back to Miami
2-4 cars - $700 each way
5+ cars - $650 each way
Baltimore to Houston and Houston back to Baltimore
2-4 cars - $850 each way
5+ cars - $800 each way
Chicago to Houston and Houston back to Chicago
2-4 cars - $700 each way
5+ cars - $650 each way
If you can get a few cars committed from another city, I can get transport set up for you as well through my buddy. If you are interested, please email me at pblach@att.net and I will start getting an organized list going. If you are committed, you will have to pay a $100 deposit by 2/1/10.
Thanks,
Peter

Do you think you can beat my 60-130 record!

I hope to have my Bogarts by then for the drag racing and 60-130 event so I can go full RWD. Of course I'll be the Porsche out their balling out on 27" MT Drag Radials and 17" rears!
Just got word from my mom a few days ago that I will be coming back in town that Friday night (We always go skiing the week of the TX2K events, but my car will be at the dyno day. I have already told Justin and Zohair that they will have access to my car to put on the dyno and to show off their Porsche products. I will be there for drag racing and 60-130's to drive the car.

I hope so, after all he has done it should run bottom 5s! Only difference in between our cars now is the fact I have a slightly larger turbo, but he has about 200lbs of weight on me.
I hopefully will be improving my times when I get the car back. We have taken some torque out of the car so it should help with the massive amount of wheel spin I have from 60mph! I don't mind spinning the rear tires, been doing that for 10 years almost, but spinning all 4 tires is some scuuurrrry shiat!

I'm going to HRP next week (friday). Let's get some guys together.

If I have my car back I'm down to go goof around at HRP. If not I'll for sure come hang out since you all are going to the track close to me. Give me a shout next week and we'll figure out when and where to meet.
We are still data logging and trying to resolve some tire/fender rubbing issues.
Chris' turbos are a touch bigger. Reducing carbs and lots of ring time has gotten me down from 231 to 224 since Christmas
. I still have about 100 lbs of stereo equipment. In any event, this event should prove the true Porsche roll on King of Houston and I will be ready.
