EVO Stage IV GT Feedback?

I am presently running EVO's Stage IV software , and k-24 turbo's. I am contemplating upgrading to the GT- stage IV, (640hp). (Garett turbo's)

My question is,1. will Todd(EVO), credit me for my previous set-up. 2. Will i be beyond the stock fuel systems limitations, while still maintaining safe A/F ratio's 3. Which clutch upgrade is prefered with this upgrade (stage 1, or stage 2)4. I have a set of S-CAR-GO long headers, which i recently removed from the car, opted to go back to stock headers, (big improvement in performance), i was thinking of purchasing thier aluminum intake system- do you recomend or not.

P.S- does anyone have 1/4 mile #'s on the standard Stage IV , vs. the GT stage IV

Thanks for any input!

Call Todd at EVO - I believe the upgrade from level 4 to 4GT is like 8K which includes credit for your K24s (gotta send em back)....
I think Clutch level 2 is preferred (check EVO's website)..
Lastly, what aluminium intake system are you talking about??

Are you saying the headers lost you performance? Reason I ask is that I have a chance to get headers pretty cheap, but if they do not give any performance gains... I won't even bother.

Thanks,

Yes. My dyno runs showed very conservative A/F ratios. Low 12s as I recall.

I went with stage 1 and it's been just fine.

Don't know anything about an aluminum intake.

The stage 4gt is an awesome package. Well worth the money.

P.S. Unfortunately, I don't have 1/4 times. As a road racer, I'd need a rolling start of else my 60 ft times would be 1/2 of my ET!

Thanks,
If I'm not mistaken, you could find a performance downgrade by simply adding headers. I believe the increased diameter of the pipes will decrease the velocity of your exhaust and therefore increase the time taken to spool your turbos. That being said, aftermarket headers of the same length and diameter with better flow, or cleaned up stock headers should increase HP. The effectivenes of most mods, without having your AFR's tuned to compensate for changes, can be very dissapointing. (or so the story goes!)

If you simply install headers and bother to check your afr, you will notice the car is probably running leaner. Remember, fuel makes power. Add, the fuel, which will richen up your afr's and you will be in for a plesant surprise.
