My car hates me!!!!

So driving home from work right now and I get a check engine light, it says, " check coolant level." I look back and white smoke is bellowing out the back of the car. I pull over and the car looks as if it is on fire. I didnt even punch it! It seems like the same stupid issue as before. I just had a whole new coolant system put in. I was supposed to have AMS and EPL tune the car tomorrow and now this happens! Anyone know why this is happenening? I just got the car back for the same issue and had it for like 3 weeks.

Not sure why it happened but I hope it's a relatively easy fix!

See if you can locate a hose that might have come loose - maybe a clamp failed and the smoke is coming from leaking coolant hitting something very hot. Is there an odor to it?

I tried to see if its just a loose hose but cant seem to find anything. I think it may be the same press fitting again. There is a sweet oder coming from it. Its hard to locate the hose as well because there is coolant everywhere.

It's probably a good thing it happened now instead of after the tune.

Did you previously have the oil cooler "pressed-in with epoxy" fitting pop out?

Vince, is it wet behind 1 of the front tires? I had this problem and it was the vent hose popped off the radiator on the drivers side. They make an updated hose for this. Factory one has a metal end, newer one is plastic.

could it be the coolant tank leaked on to the exhaust ?

could try pouring water in to see if it pours out any holes or hoses if u cant find the leak

The coolant tanks on these cars are a maintenance issue. Maybe the tank just gave way...see if you can feel underneath the tank?

I don't think your car hates you. Just the coolant. That would explain why it is always trying to liberate itself from the car.

On a serious note. Was the smoke coming out of the exhaust pipe only or from under the hood? I would take the car to the people who put in the new coolant system. They possibly missed a clamp.

Looked at the car and found the leak, it is a manifold that is behind the altinattor. It is a press fitting again!

How recently did you have the prior service done?... Sounds like they didn't correct it the first time so it shouldn't be anymore money out of your pocket to get it repaired, no?
