The Latest upgrade: TCU flash
Haulin major ***. My Vbox 1/4 trap at the mile was 137.9. I've got a little ways to go and Anthony's car has a slightly different MAF setup. Still happy that i'm only starting to tap into the turbos though. C16 will give me another .2 bar. Any more than that and i'll have to start thinking about rods.
If timing is kept low, which most tuners do not do; you shouldn't have to worry about to much when turning up the boost. Remember I'm making my power at 1.75bar sustained on MS109 with a low amount of timing.
Very funny
Vince, EVOMS is flashing the TCU for me. Rev limit is raised to 7250 in the Softronic flash already but it never shifts that late (the highest being 6800). EVOMS programming allows the TCU to take advantage of that raised limit and actually shift around 7k.
I think that is very reasonable.
EVOMS does 996's and 997's and I have heard Tym Switzer does 997's.
I think I could have gone 200 with DR's.
Like I said, I think Switzer is also doing 997's.
Right, after comparing data. Ben's 130-190 is more than a second quicker.

Here is the conclusion we've come to Paulie. I pull on Todd after 130. The 20's have better top end thats about it. My numbers to 130 are comparable but when you consider i'm having to shift manually and rebuild boost each time that should indicate the slight power advantage over the 20's. Also i've only ran pretty moderate boost on the 20's. Running 1.55 - 1.6 bar is possible and that is where the 20's really shine. Mexicant's car went through the traps at 143 mph with 20's.
That Chris Powell sure is a snappy young buck. Simmer down now.
Interesting.. Tony knows whats best for your car. How is your car running now? Did you get to the track yet?
Just a word of caution when upgrading TCU software to allow for a higher revlimit... make sure your tuner has actually "tuned" your DME calibration for the extra rpms range.... Im not just speaking of bumping the rpm, Im talking about fuel/spark/boost mapping.
I never refused, just stated that I dont think its a good idea without proper testing and tuning.

Bluey wants to Play with the "Powell" kit

Mike, I just pulled the data from 130-190:
Ben 12.51
Mike 12.68
Todd 13.37
