The Latest upgrade: TCU flash

So, the IC piping upgrade got me almost .3 in the quarter mile (from 10.9 to 10.70). I picked up a few tenths from 60-130 as well (from 6.89 to 6.33). I'm hoping the the reprogramming with improve the "ever so slow" 3rd to 4th shift especially. The car is down for new radiators, oil pressure sender, TCU flash, front and back bumber repaint and new OEM front lip. Next track event is November 21st. Stay tuned....

Where are you getting the TCU flashed from? Are you rasing the rev limiter?

I predict .2 or .3 second faster. The 7k rpm shifts feel quite good.

Todd do you think you could of gone 200 mph if you had a 6 speed? I am trying to see if the 20g's really make that much difference to the 18g's. The difference of 3 mph seems minimal (Todd 197 vs Ben 200)

I believe EVOMS is the only one, its a fairly recent development.

Here is the conclusion we've come to Paulie. I pull on Todd after 130. The 20's have better top end thats about it. My numbers to 130 are comparable but when you consider i'm having to shift manually and rebuild boost each time that should indicate the slight power advantage over the 20's. Also i've only ran pretty moderate boost on the 20's. Running 1.55 - 1.6 bar is possible and that is where the 20's really shine. Mexicant's car went through the traps at 143 mph with 20's.

Ben thanks for your assessment,sounds like you need to turn up the boost, 143 through the traps is haulin a$$.

IMO if you want to do *** hauling it's time to ditch the tippy for a Powerglide and through Boost Logic "Powell" kit on and run low 9s all day long
