Error/Fault code help
I posted a thread a few weeks back when I first got a fault code of P0455. Long story short, I took it into the dealership and they ran a leak test and everything passed. So they just turned off the check engine light and send me back home.
It came back for a 2nd time, and I thought, this time I probably should just remove the fault code myself and save a few bucks. I did and everything was fine, so I kept driving.
Now today, the light came on the 3rd time and all 3 times, it came on almost exactly the same time, when the gas tank only have about 1/8 of a tank left.
Any ideas?
From the previous thread, a fellow board member suggested that this fault code may due to the these reasons, and obviously I do have the tank cap on and securely fastened. If it is the other reasons, wouldn't it come up right away and not when I have 1/8 of a tank left on 3 tanks of gas.
P0455 Fuel Tank Ventilation System (Major Leak) - Below Limit
Possible fault cause
- Tank cap missing
- Tank cap seal
- Ventilation lines detached from EVAP canister
- Ventilation line detached from tank
- Ventilation line detached from fuel tank vent
- Break in ventilation lines
Thanks for all the help in advance.
