What a smoking car.

Ferrari dealers wont take my $5000 deposit for anything.

Plan B is to get a 360Spider when the market is @ $165,000

Too bad Darren we cant issue a market order to Ferrari dealers

Still prefer the Gallardo...the 430 is just not too much of a departure from the 360 - those air intakes are horrid....front is SICK, not a fan of Enzoish rear....
It will be interesting how the two spiders compare...

I'm not just pounding the table on the CS because I got one, but do you want the F430 or 360Spider because you want a comfy supercar? You really ought to test drive a CS. The 430 (10 to 20k will be produced) is getting lots of stuff (mechanically and aesthetically) from the CS (appx 1000 produced). For example, optional wheels, dash gauges, transmission software (same 150 ms software used in the Enzo), exhaust and optional brakes come from the CS. Owing to their respective weight differences, the CS is still VERY competitive with the F430 in all respects. The lack of sound deadening material together with the all the carbon fiber on the inside makes the CS driving experience unlike anything else in the world except for the Enzo. On top of that, the CS has had several parts of the car reworked for increased rigidity and owing to obsession with reduction in rotating unsprung mass (ie: titanium wheel bolts/suspension springs, and ceramic brakes), the car is amazingly compliant for being so incredibly flat in the corners. If someone really wanted to bring the interior up to luxury standards, they could get one with leather seats (very comfy) and have someone put in some aftermarket carpet though I don't know why you'd want to.

Anyone who doesn't have a chance of getting an F430 via a special relationship with their dealer ought seriously look at the Stradale before dropping the $250k+ the F430 will command for the first quite a while.

nice car if you have lots of cash to blow. i will be picking up my red/tan 348 spyder this week. Red Devil,my friend/ferrari tech John and myself went to see the car yesterday in Pa. will post pix soon.

Ben............the CS is great. Total performance and excilleration. I just want a cabriolet to cruise around in that is a solid step down in performance but okay for trips to Long Beach Island NJ or to the Hamptons to clubs!

I was never a fan of the 360, don’t like how the cockpit of the car is in the middle, doesn't look right. More of a fan of the cockpit offset to the rear, like a Porsche 911. I like the 575 better. But the changes made to this car does make it look better, the rear that is. Then again, I wouldn't complain if I could drive a 360, or a 430, after all, the engine is still a Ferrari. Pick on up Darren

I gotcha now. As you probably know, I've been a pretty die hard cab guy (for 12 years) living in 365 days/year convertible weather cities. I've not "so far" missed the top down experience (though I do still have the rarely driven 996 cab - for sale), but I can't say that it will always be that way.
