Since he spent most of his money on a nice house in a fine neighborhood (good move) he cannot rationalize the bucks it takes to go modern Ferrari. The 348 is not going to scare any Turbo owners but it is still a Ferrari and will command respect. At the price he paid, it won't depreciate like our stinking Turbos and he won't lose his shirt.

I had a co-worker that had a 348, great car, but he said he did the smartest thing in the world and traded it in for a used viper

cool thing was, he sold the 348 for more then he paid, however he did pull the motor and do a full rebuild.
Congrats on the new pad Bill, shoulda got a 348
(but who am I to talk, I drive a honduh

And it certainly is in many ways the envy of even any ferrari owner. for myself, i am looking forward to having a car that will give me one simple thing i've missed since selling my turbo- a wide smile on my face . what's funny is the 348 is commanding same price as 2001/2002 tt's-gotta go b/c a tt just flew by and the guy driving looks really cold-oh it's just his shirt that came flying off.......

enjoy Bill, make sure to post pics!!!
348s are kind of cool, you couldn't get away with driving one in L.A. very easily. Main reason is that all the **** stars in L.A. drive 348s, especially in my area (San Fernando Valley, **** capital of America). They're cool cars, but Dr. Bill I think you should wait a bit and get an F355 if possible. Either way, a Ferraris a Ferrari, enjoy it.

Easy my boy, 348's and 2001 Turbo's ARE NOT at the same price level yet, but it probably won't take too long. Funny thing about the **** stars driving one b/c Dr. Bill kinda has that look (minus the proper bulge, of course--Not that I'm looking!). Just like older Porsches, especially Turbos, a Ferrari in red and especially a spyder will always turn heads. Darren has first dibs on the "I told you so's" and I'd like to start a pool of when Dr. Bill gets rid of this car. If past history is any indication, the smart money is on somewhere in the under 1-year range. Anyone in for $10 each?
