Seriously, or you kidding?

I'm just a low intermdiate PS user, so I did the blur as best I knew how, through creating a 2nd layer, then erasing the blur on the car. I know a gradient blur would've been much more realistic, but that's a little bit beyond my meager skills. Needed a much longer lens to pull that off in-cam. It's equally blurred the foreground that gave it away, isn't it? Tips on doing a Grad Blur?
