360 Forged Concave Now Available.. // Introductory Special!!
Acting like he (DST Forged) didn't know who Jordan was is super shady. I've followed these threads since the change in management, and won't pile on, but I strongly suggest anyone that's going to buy wheels from 360/DST search as many forums as possible. I will say that new customers do appear to get better treatment than old ones. I'm not sure I'd bet $5G on that, though, if the company hasn't changed, and they merely set their own "do over" point without consideration of those previously wronged.
we're the manufacture. no matter where you order from they'd ship from our facility...
I'm not sure that you can, unless someone has wheels in stock and the manufacturing process is completely removed from the equation. If the wheels are in stock, I'd also make sure to examine them carefully. To be clear, lots of people have gotten beautiful 360 wheels without any concern, others have never had their prepaid orders filled, and others were delivered products that were not of the desired specification, and in certain cases unsafe. (Search some of the other forums.)
If it's an order, though, the other sources will get the wheels from the same place that you do if you buy direct. If they are just acting as a pass-through, best case, if you get screwed, is that the vendor prepays for your wheels, and they eat the loss. That would be good customer service for them, but maybe not the best business move for a small shop, which most tuners are. At a minimum, they will be put in a bad situation that could wind up as a problem for you.
To be perfectly honest, I thought that these guys may have gotten their acts together, and I would have possibly considered ordering something if their track record was good for a while longer. That post from "Mike" just removed them from any potential purchase decision I may have again. It seems to me that the claim is that a "new" company "bought the rights" to the 360 brand, without assuming any liabilities. This can happen if done through the proper legal channels, usually following a bankruptcy proceeding, and the payment for these rights being passed to creditors of the old company. (Customers of 360) The fact that the staff seems to remain largely unchanged, and no legal settlement that I'm aware of has taken place, makes this whole thing smell quite funny. I truly hope that I am wrong and Mike, Alain, or Jordan can set us all straight. The few responses that I have seen in the last six months have not done so. They design some great wheels, and do some spectacular photo shoots, but that doesn't put wheels on your car.

wheels boutique is not a vender of ours and does not carry our wheels. they did have some sets in inventory given to them by jordan on consignment. when we assumed the 360 forged product line we picked them up.
have you purchased a set of wheels from us? do you have any personal experience with forged dst? this is one isolated case. is there anyone here forged dst has done wrong?
To me, the problem isn't the product or brand itself. It's if and when a quality control issue comes up, will the vendor help you? Will the vendor even be able to help you even if they wanted to? How can a vendor replace a (hypothetically speaking) defective wheel if they have no stock to replace it with and the distributor and/or manufacturer is non-responsive? At which point, the distributor/manufacturer typically shoulders the responsibility to set the issue straight. In this regard, Forged DST seems to be lacking.
I'm also in the market for wheels. Things like quality customer service, quick response time, effective and direct communication, and assurance that my concerns will be heard and acted on if/when they occur are reasons why I can justify paying a premium for purchasing new, higher end wheels. These are not qualities I'm seeing from Forged DST... my $.02
Anyway, glad that you (and presumably others) are happy with your purchase. Their designs look fantastic! But as a prospective customer, I'm inclined to go elsewhere until Forged DST shows appropriate follow through. Until then, we're lucky to be able to shop other options.
1badgt2, sorry to hear about your situation. Please keep us updated!

it was christmas week and i wasn't checking the forums every 4 minutes. you guys are blowing this way out of proportion..
Guys, thanks for all of your support!!!!
However, I want to be VERY clear...I am not trying to be a whiner...it is not in my character to do so. And, as you can see from my project car, money is not my issue. However, I get very irritated when people take advantage of others, and I feel I have been taken advantage of. I also do not mean to be causing so much trouble on this thread or forum, but I think it is important for others to be aware of bad...or certainly questionable...situations. As for me sending a PM to these guys...I ask why?...I have already spent a year dealing with "Jordan"...or whatever your name is. If you want to help me, then state on this forum publicly what you wish to do. Let EVERYONE know your intentions so that we can ALL be aware of your business practices and allow you to clear the name. If you are not interested in making your intentions public, then I have no use for your company or your money. This is strictly about principle and how you should treat other people...nothing else. I am sure that no matter what level our membership is at economically...we all earn our money. None of us, wealthy or otherwise, are interested in spending it on poorly run businesses who show poor service and lack integrity.
Happy holidays to all of the forum members and I personally wish you a very SAFE holiday for you and your families.

I have sent you a PM with my info as requested.
I'm watching this and it's outcome VERY closely. I truly hope it become a very amicable end to this saga. As most of us here agree, 360 Forged has some very nice wheel designs and even more importantly, they look "right" on Porsches. If this outcome comes to a positive end, then I'm sure that people will feel MUCH more inclined to put their trust into this company. Hopefully all business from this day forward with the "new owners" will be much more professional than what I've seen in the past. Get past this hurdle and then start sponsoring and putting your wheels on some track cars, so we know that they will withstand the rigors of track day use!!! Honestly, good luck to both parties.
this comment was made in the first stages of my re-involvement. this is before i knew how serious the problem was. since then we have completely assumed the product line and jordan nor any of the staff have any involvement. there are no lies. forged dst is owned and operated by me and my employees. mike is one of them...
hey craig,
