I typically have mine R1000 on the revs/afr setting for display, and like to flick between that and the ECT/IAT screen.

Set the shift light at 6.2k rpm, mainly for 2nd and 3rd gear so I can shift when really on it without taking my eyes off the road.. 1st gear I try and change around 5krpm and by time I've shifted its way past 6k rpm anyway.

I like to change between dual AFR screen and ECT/IAT screen.
