Is it completely necessary to purchase application specific floor mounting (seat base 400 & 500 series) brackets when installing sparco seats in my 996 or could I use a set from a different vehicle and modify slightly? I bring up this question because I have the opportunity to purchase both the floor mount (seat base) and track sets (sliders) for a very afforable price both of which are in "like new" conidition.

 

its alot eaier to have the custom mounts that just bolt in versus modifying and trying to make units that hold you in place ina accident i know which one ill choose the aleady made proven units as seats are a PITA to install
