Upgrade 996tt AWD to the 997tt AWD?

Hi all. I have barely paid attention to the 997tt, and I hear
from your posts here that the 997tt AWD system is superior.
Just an idle thought; is it easy to upgrade the 996tt to have
the 997tt's power delivery system to the front wheels?

One of the guys here was looking into it. But it looks like it's a lot of work and not a simple bolt on as the 997tt system uses an electromagnetic clutch in place of the viscous coupling that the 996tt uses.

yeah, you're right. I looked into that book we got about the car, and yes, the system
need electronics to operate....

Although appealing, that upgrade could probably quickly morph into a "geez, it would have been cheaper and easier to just buy a 997TT" situation I'm guessing.

I'm sure some brave soul will pioneer it one day though, and it's always hardest when done for the first time. So, hope springs eternal.
