Never mind.....they THOUGHT the paint was cracking, it hasn't cracked yet. Whew!

 

you would think...but good luck trying to get them to cover anything. my brother had his rear fenders rolled on his 350Z and they did a bad job, he can't get a hold of the guy.

 

I was told to heat the underside good with a torch before attempting to roll my fenders.

Paint has to be heated really well so it does not crack , torch from the inside carefully or blow dryer from the outside, or if it's really hot out just leave it out in the sun .

 

Are you guys using the old baseball bat technique?

 

Sean,isn't your car a GT2?I didn't think you had to roll them because they are already rolled from the factory?Maybe I am wrong?

 

Joe yes you are right the GT2's come from the factory already rolled.I checked mine & they are rolled.

 

I just happened to notice a few weeks ago that my front fenders are rolled at the very top for about 12-18" and I never had it done. I ordered and purchased the car new. Is this normal for a 996TT?

my fronts are rolled 01 tt rears ar not no rubbing at all am running huge tyres and i can't remember the size and the gararage is to fare to check

John the turbo's front fenders are rolled on the top,but the rears are not rolled.

 

I have 295/25/20 in the rear and 245/30/20 on front. I have the rear on w/ 21mm spacers that have pushed the rims right out to the edge. I have had no problems w/ rubbing.

 

Not aggressive enough! I had to roll mine to fit with the correct camber settings, if i left a ton of negative camber then there was no rolling needed. Depends how you want the rear to sit.

For someone who works on cars its not to bad.... for me I would definitely mess something up
