What is this button for please?
Had my 2005 996tt for about a month now....just got the manual yesterday. On the floor in the middle of the drivers door, there is a series of buttons, 1,2,M, both hatch release....what is the button with the key icon used for...can't find description in manual....tanx

Those are for setting the seat position for different drivers. The key button allows each driver's key to be set to an individual's seat position preference. Look in the manual under seats, then memory. Page 30.

The car did not come with a manual and the one the dealer ordered for me turned out to be for the wrong model. Tanx for the thumbnails.
