Check out what I dyno tested today....

.....A 2004 996TT cab. I almost felt a little guilty, as I was dyno testing it as I looked down at the odometer and it had not even hit 100 miles yet. Oh well, it seems this one will be broken in the old fashion way...at WOT

This car was strong out of the box. It put down about 400 RWHP and 385 RWTQ which is a bit high for a stock 996TT. We are going to be adding our stage 2 upgrade with IBE chip Switch as well as a SSK and some other goodies to this car over the next few days and delivering it back to the lucky owner. Some guys cant even wait a day before they start upgrading.

Hey. Did this car just come from Scottsdale Porsche today? My detailer said that one of his client's just took delivery of a white cab, with black interior today.

msindi,

Something isn't right with your figures. They advertise 603 flywheel hp. If you multiplied 486 rwhp by 1.18% you get 573 fwhp. You would have to multiply 486 rwhp by 1.24% to get 603 fwhp. Something is not right with your car or with the way you assembled your dyno numbers.

Were you using a 4wd dyno? Did you use all the Stage IV parts as they recommend?

Yes, they delivered it right from Scottsdale Porsche. I think they got 2 cars total, this white 6-speed and a blue tip.

Todd,

You can say that again. I know you would not have done that to a street car unless you warned the customer against it and he directed you to do it anyway.

What was done to make an AWD car run on a RWD dyno? Looking at this picture, I'm confused.

Thanks.

We disconnected the front drive shaft and tested it in rear wheel mode.

Very simple procedure. The car will drive around on the streets just fine. No warning lights just pure GT2 fun without the GT2
