I am thinking about having one of the clear bra protection films installed on the front of my new Turbo. Does anyone on the board have expereince with the various kits, installtion techniques, etc.? Any pictures?

So far I found one person in my area that will install the 3M ScotchcalPaint Protection Film for me. The cost of the kit and the install price seem reasonable. I noticed that the 3M kit comes in several peices...Do the others?

My car is silver so it shouldn't show too many lines.

Hood (lower portion)
End caps (tops of fenders- over lights)
Front lower facia (in 4 peices- sides L&R, lower middle and upper portion)

Thanks,
Keith.
I had this (3M production) installed at the dealer before I picked up the car. It really saves the paint on the areas where its applied. This is the 1st thing I add to every car I purchase. I wax right over it and then followup with a detailing brush to remove the wax on the seams. It's a good investment.

Joe West is infamous around these parts
The dust is caused by a statit electricity buildup on the surface of the clear bra, caused by two things:

1. airflow across the bra
2. Waxing (cloth contact as you rub)

The cool thing is that it is easy to get rid of... all you have to do is go down to your local electronics store and purchase something called "anti-Stat" A fine mist on a cloth and a wipe across the bra and you won't have the problem until the next time you wash/wax. Most (if not all) anti-stat sprays are water based and won't damage the bra.

Dilly,

I hear you about the dust. Try to wax the product with a high gloss polish. It tends to help after a couple of coats on there!!
