lafun2 - I would suggest C2 Cab for your friend. Great car and fun to drive. Cab because you have the option of putting a hard top on it. And it's very hot for a female to drive a cab. Here is one on ebay that looks pretty good. California car, easy to get a hold of. Good luck

C2,,as my ex-P car...very reliable. I revved up top to 285 KM/hr(178mile), and when everytime ran in highway over 120mile, still runs very strong when I sold. reason to sell was my liscence had revoked. Take care.....c c c c

No go on the boxter..she doesn't like that car.

No go on the Gt3 as someone mentioned, because that is clearly out of her budget.

wouldnt a 01 TT be in the 70K range now with less than 20K miles still under warranty. Try to get an 02 for less than 80K.

well if she doesn't like the boxster and doesn't want a turbo that doesn't leave many options, does it?

obviously a newer car will be more reliable than an older one, so that only leaves a 996 Carrera. Am i missing something here? It doesn't seem like there's an actual question being asked.

actually she started with looking at 356's.
if you see..i did make the question include very early porsches.

i dont know much about the older 911s and the 944/928 models.

i figured there would be other choices except the 02+ 996 C2 cars.

i told her from the beginning to get a 996TT, however, she wanted my "P car friends" to opine on this issue

thus i asked.

i apologized if the question offended anyone.

she left the door wide open...
