Reliable P car?
I figure I would post this here, since this part gets most traffic (hope it is ok with the mods)..
Was curious, as to what you guys think are the most reliable, worry free P car?
My friend is looking for something to start out with. She doesn't know much about cars, but is willing to learn.
She wants something reliable, to drive around in, and something that will start all the time.
She doesn't want the car to spend time at the shop all the time.
So what do you guys recommend? She will consider any car from 1955 on.
Her budget is about 5-8K or so.
She doesn't need a turbo/sc car, and doesn't need to go super fast. Just something she can enjoy driving.
Your help is appreciated.

My apologies. I left out a "0" in the price range.
She would like to stay as close to the 50s as possible.
Thanks again.

Has only 8 tsb's total. Of the 8, only 2 involved potential problems with the operation of the vehical. One was software related for about 70 cars (high altitude operation), the other affected only 12 cars - Possible defective exhaust valve retainer clips that should be replaced.
This compares to over 119 for the TT/GT2 and 214 for the 996C2/C4.
Finally a rock solid reliable Porsche. Let's leave the Cayenne out of the discussion...
