The fuel pump does "work" in two ways. One is flow the other is to create pressure. The more "work" it has to do to create pressure the less available for flow. A pump will always have higher flow capability at lower pressures.

I'm in the same boat for my gt28's and I think I'm just going 5 bar as I don't want to drop the motor or pay an additional $1000+ for injectors and labor to install them.

The walk through on vivid's site mentions that you do not have to drop the motor, and it certainly doesn't look too difficult. Everyone has a different comfort zone though. I have swapped everything thing turbos, trannies, motors and even subframes in my garage though. Injector swaps are pretty straight forward.

Injectors are $300-$600 and it takes approximately 5-8hours to install for someone who has done it. These cars are a bear if you have big hands.

thanks for all the comments. going injector route.

as for labor, i think for the 5barFPR, you need to tear one side open to get to the fuel rail anyways.

No you do not... just take out the secondary air pump and your in there... its really a 2 hour job vs a 20 hour job...

IK22 is what I use in all my cars and no issues. Other option is the PK20. I think the 60lb injector with a EBC is the right move as Mad Ness likes to keep progressing
