996 Turbo / GT2 Turbo discussion on previous model 2000-2005 Porsche 911 Twin Turbo and 911 GT2.

Can the 996 Turbo handle like a GT3?

i know sechsgang with that amazing GT3 you must be a very good driver,i was just triying to make this a little competetion for fun in a good will.
I like to compete and i do,i love to win too, but the realy fun is to race your car,to improve your self and your car.

And i am still fun of MIKELLY even he doesn't seem interested.

LionRacing is infamous around these partsLionRacing is infamous around these parts
GT3 Cup has no subsitute

While 4 wheel drive is great at the track and gets you out of trouble often, it adds weight and increases the chances of something breaking. There is no better longevity than the race proven GT3 Cup. Yet again, if four wheel drive was legal, I'm sure Porsche would beef it up as good as the GT3...

Here are some videos from the last Patron GT3 Challenge race at Laguna Seca. You can see more of my videos at http://www.youtube.com/lionracingvideos

If I'm not mistaken, the new GT3 R Hybrid has some sort of electrical 4wd. So Porsche are working on it.

if awd wasn't banned it would have taken over racing for sure.

The electrical GT3 almost seems like a longer lasting kers system and it does make it awd, which is interesting that it has been allowed

It's been answered. Handling feel and ultimate driver feedback, NO. In outright speed, yes.

KERS system that uses a mechanical flywheel to store energy but powers the front wheels via electric motors during acceleration. Ideally in a perfect world a Porsche with infinite and instant AWD torque vectoring that uses power distribution instead of power regulation to maintain a chosen line would be unbeatable on a race track!
