Silicone boost hoses

When installing a set of silicone boost hoses, the install came to a halt when it was time to install the IC to intake hoses as the head of the hose clamp (that connects to the flange) would not pass through the hole in the sheet metal to the IC. Any recommendations here? Use of stainless steel band clamps with a smaller "head", those that look more like a cable tie? Any input is much appreciated.

Ciao, JE

JeremyS is infamous around these parts
You can't preassemble the hose if you're using regular hose clamps. First install just the aluminum fitting into the IC, rest the hose clamp on the same fitting, then slide just the hose through the hole in the engine compartment, slide hose clamp up hose a bit and slide hose over aluminum fitting. Then tighten the hose clamp. It can be a bit tricky to orient the hose clamp to allow proper tightening, but it's not too difficult.

or if the IC's already off the car, connect the IC<->hose to the IC/bracket unit first, then slide the hose through the hole, and fix the IC back in place. Helps if the intake box is out of the way.

Tried that but can not seem to get to the hose clamp and tighten it.
