Need help on exhaust

Trying to figure out which way to go, i just took off the cargraphic 100 cell and put on a 3' fab speed, im not liking the sound that much at all, sounds like a sooped up vw bug (no offense to anyone), is it because i have a tiptronic??????? I really like the sound of MTHEORY GT2, hes got the GMG exhaust, any thoughts on what to do, can fabspeed do anything or should i just get a GMG, ive put alot of $$$$$ into both exhaust already so if there is an easy fix that would be great... Im looking for that raw sound that the GMG makes ?????
Thank YOU in advance........hilariou s

Vegas,

We have a cross-flow with the better sound you are seeking. Several sound level options, too. If you would like, PM me exactly what you are looking for in terms of sound, tip option, etc. and I can advise you on which model/options would best achieve your goals. These systems sound fantastic - I am certain that you would be very pleased...

Here is an internal shot of our cross-flow design which produces our unique, exotic trademark sound

I am looking for as quiet of an exhaust as possible but yet free flowing enough to work hand in hand with the EPL flash. (If this makes sense).

Hi Ken,

Your goals are identical to mine. This is exactly what I am running on my 996TT - our 2.5 quiet with an EPL tune and I absolutely love it! With 100 cell cats, it's very free flowing, you can easily hear the turbos whistle as they spool up. It's a very responsive, quiet mix, yet still retains the GT3 type wail up top. A joy to own.

We have done 200 cell cats by request on these systems and it would be a little quieter, but I would suggest the 100 cell cats for quick spool and top performance.

This is not a custom one-off, it is configured with standard components beginning with muffer core pipe size to determine the overall sound level, then that sound level is further refined with tip style and size (3" single tips, 2.5" single tips, 2.5" twin tips, re-use OEM tips, etc. - each have a slightly different sound level, so we can fine tune to your liking with the tip choice). Sound reduction can be taken a step further with the cats if you wish (such as using 200 cell to reduce noise a little more), but we like to supply the 100 cell cats to provide the customer with top performance. Our 2.5 quiet with 100 cell cats is extremely livable and enjoyable - I am pretty sensitive and I don't feel it needs any further sound reduction, but if you want to be really quiet, then we can use the 200 cells...

And yes, we can bundle our exhaust with an EPL tune for a "package price" deal.

Vegas,

I think our full 3" "loud" version would sound very similar. You are right, the video does not do it justice - that full 3" design sounds absolutley awesome! Since I installed our X-cellerator cross-flow, I have received many, many compliments on rallys from owners of all makes of cars. Everyone that is behind me usually comes up afterward and wants to know about the exhaust, as they proceed to tell me how awesome it sounded. And the funny thing is "I know" because I am hearing it the whole way, too and enjoying every minute of it.

Go listen to a Europipe Gen2 Quiet; 100 cell cats, but a great sound and super flow that has dramatically reduced the lag on my K24's (X50)

The reason we have so many exhaust choices is because we have such a diverse taste in the turbos exhaust note. I chose the JIC TI with 200 cell cats. Fat tubing, unique sound and only weights 16lbs.

Some say ours is a calm monster, smooth and mellow at idle, yet screams like an old 935 IMSA car at WOT. There are quite a few members on here that have our system.

Hit me up if you have any questions..

Wish I would have known you would do 200 cell cats on request,

I still have not unwrapped mine yet, so they are as delivered (installed straight pipes from the get go), I will NEVER use the 100 cell cats as my car more than likely will not pass CA smog with them when the time comes. Can we discuss swapping out for the 200 cell cats since they are completely as delivered and unopened ? I will pay any price difference, if applicable. I assume with the 200 cell cats I have a much better chance passing in CA.

Thanks.

OS Inspector,

That is very true, however, our full 3" crossflow is not what I would call a quiet exhaust. It is a 3" straight thru design...and is perfect for those that desire a loud, aggressive system. As an option, if one finds it too loud, we can supply our OEM tip outlet pipes to re-use the stock tips and quiet it down a bit, but the 3" is on the loud side no matter which tip option you choose.

JS - Yes, we can do that. I can use the 100 cell cats all day long, so not a problem...

Please PM or email me confirmation that you want to do the swap and I'll get it in process.

We have 2 speedtech exhausts on two seperate turbos. One is an x50 and one isn't. They sound different. The x50 is way louder..almost obnoxious. Something I am looking at toning down..somehow. The non x50 sounds great. It isn't too loud and isn't too quiet. I am not sure why the discrepency.. With that said, they both have gained some decent power from the exhausts.
