Order coils for plug change?

Hey all. I am planning on changing the spark plugs in my 2004 Turbo this weekend. Car has 32,000 miles. Do you think I should order six new ignition coils to change at the same time?

imho - yes....

I have just changed my plugs and while I was in there I changed the coils as preventative maintenance.

You have to remove the coils completely to change the plugs so I decided to use some of the $$ I saved diy'ing on a new set of coils.

Incidentally my original coils looked brand new when I took them off - but opted to change them out anyway !

+1 significant work versus cost of coils to get in there.

BBI makes an upgraded plasma coil. Might want to check it out.

Meh, 32k miles and 04...I'd wait to 60k. Mine still looked new at 60k for a 2002.

I say leave 'em. That is if you are doing the work yourself. If you were paying someone, I would say change them that way you get the most bang for the labor $$.

I did mine recently hunting down a misfire and they were NOT the problem. They definitely didn't look new, but were still fine. Car had approx 40k on it at the time...
