I'm think of adding some more holes in my GT3RS pulley before it goes on next saturday? I'm surprised it is 3X less than OEM

My mechanic will go install the new pulley this week.

What is tightening torque for the GT3RS aluminium pulley?

The tightening torque for the stock pulley is 170NM..but the mechanic told me this is too much for the new aluminium pulley.

The GT3RS aluminium pulley is smaller than the stock one.

It is necessary a new belt.

Today my mechanic remove the stock pulley and compare it.

The stock belt is large to use with the GT3RS aluminium pulley (part number 996.102.017.95).

At page 3 of this Post the member VAGscum did a comparation but is between the GT3 pulley and the RS pulley. The siz is the same but the weight is different.

I think the 996TT pulley is bigger than the GT3!

GT3RS crank belt (996.102.151.93)

Are you doing this at S&P?

No.

I told the pulley GT3 RS (part number 996.102.017.95) not the belt...

Thanks,
VS

the 996TT pulley is bigger than the GT3 or the Evo. Look at post 92, you can clearly see the difference.

Is it worth the hassle to buy another belt..I had a new belt put on less then a year ago...
If someone gives me the true weight of the original pulley now, I will have to see...Being 10.5 oz. on the GT3 I can not see it making a difference?
Beside my dealer made a mistake on the install procedure,I thought was simple..

John, the OEM pulley weighs 860 grams. The EVOMS pulley we sell weighs 220grams, about 75% lighter.

And you will require a smaller belt...
