Rear. I would buy new or used but I just wondered if this sort of damage is repairable.

True that two different types of wheels are available? Some have groves at the back of the spokes some don't?

Yes. One set is hollow (preferred choice) and one set is solid (and heavier) that came on the C4s.

i doubt they are that cheap in england

gonna be hard finding someone who is selling just one rim

i would try and find a new rim though, damage looks pretty bad, if it was just a scuff i would have it repaired but that looks way worse

If it's significantly cheaper I would repair it, these are outstandingly strong wheels. But if it's close, just buy one.

If you look at the wheel repair shop sites you will see that they can repair almost anything.
but I think it is easier/and cheaper to just buy a second hand rim.
There a lot for sale if its not a hollow S.

Another thing is his tyres now. As a consequence he will change both rears. He wants Pirelli, but he cannot find the same tyre tread anymore as they’ve changed it. Also, the Pirellis come with a different tyre tread pattern front/rear. They call it Zero Rosso Direzionale front, PZero Rosso rear... He absolutely doesn’t want this as he want all his tyres to be the same. What do you guys think about this issue?

The tires really need to be the same tread compound, especially if his car is AWD (not sure what model he has). You can run different fronts and rears in a RWD car but it's not recommended. I've done it myself in RWD cars and you can get some weird handling issues, especially at the limits. I'd just bite the bullet in the name of safety and get the correct tires.

I don't know about your part of the world but here in Quebec we got a place that fix a lot worst than that and it is impossible to see the repair. It is called P.Jacques. Look at the site and I am convince in England you got a similar place... Last time I got a wheel fix it cost $90.00 canadian which is about 58 pounds....
