My FVD Tune Experience

Hello everyone I just want to tell the folks over at FVD that I think theres a problem with my tune I installed today on my turbo. The problem is I cant get this grin off of my face! Wow! Anyone who is contemplating doing a tune on your turbo this is it! Never had better customer service in my life! Could not be happier with your product and service. Installation is a snap and results are unreal! Im only hitting .9 at the moment and I hear that people are getting anywhwere from that to 1.1. Now I am running stock diverters at this time and am planning to install some billet ones here in the coming weeks and see if that gets me higher boost. If not no biggie at least I know I wont run into any detonation issues although I am running on 93 pump. Currently Im running a PSI exhaust with gutted cats and a K&N drop in. The roads are a little wet out today and this thing is crab walking in 1st and some of second. Im hitting .3 bar at quarter to half throttle at around 2500-3k rpm where at stock it would maybe show me .1 at more throttle. Driveability seems smoother and better along with throttle response. Flo, Rhonda, and Mark again you just made a very happy and new customer! Thanks again for all the support and info. -Ron

What Turbo?

Thanks for the kind words! Glad we could be of assistance. The .9 is of great concern to me as you should be seeing 1.0 consistently and a flash of 1.1. Please keep us posted with the diverter valve upgrade. We can rule out the plugs for sure as they were done 2,000 miles ago. Please keep us in the loop and speak to Mark at 800-274-2220 Ext. 27. He is available any time for technical questions.

Thanks,
Rhonda

Good Experience with FVD

Good Experience with FVD and with Rhonda at FVD. This is the best bang for the buck you can get on a 996tt. Love the torque.

Congrats on the FVD tune...my FVD kit is going strong since 2004...car pulls like a freight train with no issues with the FVD parts at all. Very solid and impressive since i took ownership 1 year ago.

boca996tt, When was your last plug change? I don't recall if you bought the diverter's from us. Do you know who's they are. The reason that I ask is that we had quite a few 996TT customer's that never saw 1 bar that were running the mode silver bilet diverter's. We eventually decided to buy reinforced diverter's from Germany, they are more $$ but have never failed us. Either way please stop by when you have a chance and we will take a look at it. Thanks, Rhonda

TheGrinch, Can you let me know the same info as I asked boca996tt above. If you are in the area please stop in as well, we will be happy to look into it.

Thanks,
Rhonda

Another happy customer over here. Running Forge DVs, Europipe and zero clearance turbos.
Changed the spark plugs when i swapped the turbos and EP.
As of 3rd gear I see 1.3 bar....
Above 120 mph pull away from by crotch rockets.
