Okay Im confused 250lbs lighter and still the same 60-130
Im running sumitomo HTRZIII's all four new and AWD. I cant get tracking until about 40ish.
My 60-100 is 2.61 (3rd gear) 50-70 is usually 1.3
Vince I think you are having massive traction issues. Making the car lighter (which is a good thing) is making the traction issue worse. You'll have to wait until it is at least 60 out for a day or 2 for the ground to warm up. Anything lower than 65-70 degree temps, I need drag radials. I have Sumitomos too. I little dip in the road is all you need to upset the suspension and a little tire spin, you can barely feel, will affect that time too...
PS,
I have weighed my car at the track to confirm my weight loss. My car is 3150 empty (1/4tank) and 3330 with me in it. Keep in mind your Tippy car is 100lbs heavier to start with.
I think the warmer temps have something to do with it...
I guess you can put a 250lbs person back in it and see what it does... I bet it will be slower then a 7.7.. tire spin is a problem too...

I agree, but also Vince has meth and I think the meth (at least in my case) really all but eliminates the weather change factor. In the heat of the summer my back to back runs are now all within a tenth or so whereas before the meth, I could have 3-4 tenths difference run after run after run. I keep a spreadsheet of all my runs to trend them. Pretty consistant over a period of a year since I have been tracking. Have all the files to back them up. More than happy to share.

I know you are right about the cooling properties of meth injection. Something I considered and you may have data to confirm or refute, is that below some ambient temp the cooling effects of meth become less of a factor. IOW, meth can cool the engine down to a certain temp, if ambient is below that level then ambient temps have a greater effect on hp at that point.
Just a hypothesis, but I would be interested if any of your data with meth can shed any light on it.
Also, I agree that traction is probably limiting Vinces' ability to improve his times. VRTX did his best times starting in second gear. If you can't start in second with a tip you are leaving performance on the table, IMO.
I predict MUCH better times.
