Well why not? Every bit counts and with the amount of money invested in R&D, do you really think he cares? When your goal is the best all-around performing 996TT, cost is out of the equation.
With a car that has a hypothetical top speed of 265 mph plus, yes every bit does help (to keep me in one piece).
