I understand Techart makes a complete carbon fiber cover for the underside of the 996tt. Has anyone installed or seen this part? Anyone have any pics?

Chad, I think you need a new project car. Now you are really reaching the point of the law of diminishing returns.

If you start with a Carrera GT, you get a free carbon fiber chassis and underbody.

Wouldn't the only benefit be under the engine as the entire front of the car is a flat panel anyway?

 

But it's TechArt... meaning... it doesn't have to be functional, just gratuitously flashy and expensive.

Well why not? Every bit counts and with the amount of money invested in R&D, do you really think he cares? When your goal is the best all-around performing 996TT, cost is out of the equation.

 

not sure about Techart, but i think Kelly-Moss Motorsports makes carbon-fiber undertrays and splitters?

 

There is one in the future. Diminishing returns? I reached that point a long time ago.

You have a point on some of their items, but not all of their items. Remember, KA has some of their parts and she hasn't yet been beat by another 996tt or GT2 to date.

This may come to an end as Todd wants to come to the Bay Area or meet me in LA after he helps with the tuning in February for a friendly comparison.
