Why i hate where i LIVE!
Housing is beyond dirt cheap. Weather is great from Sept-Oct to around April. Roads in general are very good. Are you an ENT by chance?
If this can help, I have nearly the same problems here were I live. Highways are FULL FULL FULL of "tutors" (they measure average speed in a given lenght of road)....with a 80 mph limit. Speed detectors are everywhere and COPS seem to "have fun" making tickets.
The only way to have some fun with sports cars is to go out on some mountain roads.
But here it gets worse...We cannot install aftermarket exhausts, bigger wheels, different lights, different suspension, let alone engine mods etc... if a COP finds out that you have some modifications, you and your car are in trouble....the car on a tow truck and you have to call a taxi, with a huge ticket to pay in your hands.

and then discover the mods. Good Luck
no not an ENT or ear nose and wallet as we call it. im an ER doctor. it's my day off and im just chilling and peripherally listening to the cnn and cnbc about what's expected with the bill that just passed. that's crazy that in italy the police will impound your car for changing out the suspesion. god i love texas.
No not an ENT i do hotel/restaurant Furniture but i can see where that would be a Problem in Arizona!

Oh, well, of course there are not as many cops as you would imagine, and they are not so "aggressive" with good cars like Porsche's , Ferrari's etc...
Many times you can convince them to close an eye and give you a ticket for a minor violation...
The fact is that the majority of them don't have a clue about this sort of things (engine mods, suspensions), and unless your car is too flashy and/or you are speeding, they usually don't bother you.
This of course does't mean that you don't take a big risk doing even the slightest mod to your car...
And of course there is a solution to the problem:
- Export the car in Germany
- Get an omologation for the mods
- Take the car back to Italy
It will be completely a legal car then.... ahah...how stupid the italian laws are!!!
I assume that you guys over there in US don't have any problems modding your cars, right? You can just change parts and you don't have to go through an omologation process, do you?

Most of those laws have been created as a response to issues with street racers. Maybe someone from CA can chime in here that knows more.
I'm in Colorado and I have no issues with mods to my car whatever they may be.
Honestly a 10K ticket with no chance to refute is beyond dumb. what do they think is going to happen when they pop on the lights behind someone? Stop or take off? 10K could ruin someone financially and I could see many just taking a chance. If they truly care about safety this law sure doesn't demonstrate it.

)Hotel industry is not what it was a few years ago, but it's still holding it's own. No matter what the economy, the wealthy will be looking to escape the cold and hit the spas and the links of Arizona.
Just as bad as Cali. Over 100mph they don't just impound your car, they can confiscate it. Perhaps it's even worse in Switzerland. Your ticked is based on your income. Someone got a $100,000 fine for speeding (wonder how much you have to make to get that fine). In Singapore they just do road side executions for speeding.
