outch! 10k Ticket? The guys on top gear were talking about how we are living at the end of the era of high performance cars, a few episodes ago.

Agree with you Palette it is becoming expensive to drive fast... A driver in Quebec was given "Extreme high speed" ticket when he was doing 120 km/h in a 70 km/h zone! (120 = 74 mph). My definition of "extreme" is quite different!

 

Thats a pretty heavy fine.

I have no idea what the punishment is out here for that.

The real limiting factor here is the road conditions. We have some of the worse maintained roads in the country that I've seen. Some of the highways have been redone, but with all the ups and down in temp we experience, roadways rarely stay in decent condition for more than a year.

Interesting as it sounds we have been looking at the Market in Arizona. i would be getting closer to Texas!

Damn, I remember the QEW being killer for pushing some good speeds. Used to drive up to the toronto from buffalo quite a bit when I lived back in NY. Good heads up.

The QEW is not to bad its just really trafficated. The 407 is a joke! There is a cop every other exit and a plane every few minutes. But its the best road ever! FULL CONCRETE Highway. We get luck and do our best street racing there some nights.

 

Sadly my mmm creamy friend, my beloved Mexican 59 is now off limits.

In any case, the traffic has increased exponentially in the last 6 months.

 

i feel for you palette ... i grew up in toronto and went to medical school at queens. i hightailed it out of the people's republic of ontario as soon as i could.
