Need Cheap Cheap Cheap Tune

Hey guys,

Running stock 16s and looking to step up to some k16/16g some 24s or in the somewhat short term.

In the meantime, I am looking for a very cheap shelf tune for the stock 996tt tiptronic with exhaust that can hold me over.

There were some old conversations about ubsolute (spelling).. Is this still around? Any other recommendations?

Another even better option is if any of the tuners will charge me full price for a tune and will give cheap upgrades as I change things up.

Not rec. very cheap tune. Your eng is pricy. Better safe than sorry.
(go with good/reliable tune. search and do your homework.)

I guess the better way to pose the same question without sounding uneducated is this - Does anyone know of a tuner that gives significant discounts for follow up tunes? OR does anyone know of a simple "non-custom" program that I can run until I fully modify the car and need custom work?

If I'm forced to spend 2 grand on a temporary solution, I will put the whole thing off until the cars breathing and exhaust system are modified.

You're on the right track. The flash will be more effective with an exhaust. Get an exhaust and then call EPL. Or call EPL to get an exhaust...

We give you 75% of your original flash purchase price toward your next flash. This holds true for original flash owners only.

THAT is exactly what I needed to know. I will send you a PM, but I would like to pose the following question to the masses too. I have a very free flowing exhaust on order already. Is there any other "Must haves" before the first flash?

Within 6 months, I will be upgrading turbos to put some power down, but for now just want a little kick.

Most people do DV's too, if you have stock ones, they tend to leak. If you don't do them now, you will do them later.

We offer the full line of EVOMSit software for your 996TT. This software has been proven time and time again by many of the highest hp 996 Turbos roaming the streets. With the EVOMSit software, if you upgrade the car down the road, you'll only be charge for the difference in cost of the software versions. Strictly for example, if the current tune you purchase costs $2000, and down the road you upgrade to K24's and the cost of the tune is $3000, you'd only pay the difference between the two.

Another huge benefit of going with the EVOMSit software is that we offer tunes for everything from the stock 16's all the way up to the 700+ hp GT turbos, so at no point will the software you have in the car ever become obsolete.

Feel free to shoot me an email or PM and I'd be happy to get you some special 6Speed member pricing for what you're looking for. tom@rennsport-one.com

Pep Boys, Autozone, JC Whitney, NFW. The bottom line, you have a 20k engine, why risk it.

Come on guys, you don't need to ridicule the question. Please read the thread- I'm talking about spending 2 thousand in flash in lieu of 4-6 in the next year because I will be doing it more than once.

Thank you to the vendors and people who have actually said something pertinent instead of trying to get a giggle out of the peanut gallery. I sent you all PMs
