I dont know if many of you have been following my father and I's thread, https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...-01-996tt.html, but the end of our build is near. Just wanted to give out a shout out for Don Le at Dallas Steering Wheel. I ordered this yesterday and got the pictures of the finished product today. Ships out to Driver Source for install tomorrow. My dad and I went with black leather and gray alcantara with red stitching to compliment the gt3 shift boot that is already in the car. Anyone who has been thinking about doing this do not hesitate. Don is a great guy to work with and talk about fast turnaround.

After Todd and Steve get the turbo stuff done, all we have left is the Alcantara front seat inserts and carbon interior. We've just about given up on having the seat centers replaced with the alcantara. We called a local shop of the nationally known chain (will leave that name out but has something to do with a "fish") The guy was extremely rude on the phone saying he doesn't do that sort of stuff and didn't know what Alcantara even was, then hung up on my son. How do people like that stay in business? Well, we're back to square one. I'm also looking at putting Recaro Topline seats in, but am going to go into that slowly due to the cost and I'm a REALLY big guy, like 6'4" and 220lbs. I want to make sure the seats will fit my big frame, especially for that amount of $$$.

Like Nick says, we're getting close. Maybe a few more weeks...

Don does first class work and his customer service is first class too. I'm very happy with the wheel he recovered and fattened up for me.

I bet that VividRacing aka Dan can tell u about dct. If I were looking to get carbon refinished or added I would go with them.

But I think the rennline piece is exactly the same. I do have the shift pattern in the top. I purchased it from a 6speed person years ago now. Today, I'd just get the rennline piece. It did not exist then.
