R.I.P. JOEFIXX's Lamborghini Diablo VTSC
Pardon my ignorance but isn't a consignment car different to a dealer car? Isn't one being sold on behalf of an owner and the other is a "stock" car? Then if that is the case then I wouldnt call it a discounted dealer car.
In Australia it is illegal to sell cars under consignment.

Miscellaneous Ramblings:
Are Allan and Ben friends or enema's?
No consignment in Australia, wierd...but I guess the dealer could make untrue claims about the car and sell it to an uninformed buyer on behalf of another party...As opposed to the US where they might just lie about their own inventory? I think there are bad dealers that give all of them a bad name...get references when buying.
That Saleen, I can't look at that car and not hear 'sex' everytime. "Raw" and alot of 4 letter words, what a great looking machine.
The Enzo, for god's sake, why couldn't they build more? I know, appreciation for the buyer. What? I thought the company was about making great cars to be driven. So what if the value stays at $600-800k, build more!
Those CGT's have a limited production run too. What's going to happen to the values when all of us car nuts have one in the garage under a cover? The 993tt was a limited run, values have stabilized and are trending up for nice ones, even in the winter.
Gullwing doors, p-cars do not need gullwing doors (venting about the silly Gemballa). Just say no to rice. Leave it to the Uber exotics that design it right from the start, aftermarket ones look tacky.
Lightweight - Can't cars get lighter? Aston is doing a Lightweight version...Lotus Elise, even the Z06 Vette is using magnesium/aluminum. I hope the 997tt takes a hint from the competition (or brisk sales of the GT3).
I'm done. Sorry to hijack this thread for my vent.

-The car has been paid for in full
-The car has never left the dealer's showroom
-The car has never been titled
Technically its a consignment car, but since it has never been titled and hasn't left the dealership it is still a new car...
Evan
PS-No affiliation with this car BTW
Joe, sorry about the car. I heard about it as it was happening. It's a real loss... Still, things happen for a reason- i'm sure whatever you decide to get in it's place will be even better

Although i'd like to see the Murcielago, i bet the replacement will end up being a 2000 Diablo vt roadster super charged. Saw pictures of the possible replacement- looks sweet in the platinum!
