intermediate shaft failure in high miles 996TT

I worry about the intermediate shaft failure in high miles 996TT, I know that LN Eng offer a Upgrade & Retrofit for it. I only know of one case of a documented IMS failure, does anyone else know of other?

TT dont normally suffer from IMS bearing failure. The LN retro is for non-turbo's.

I haven't heard of IMS failure, but I have heard about noise. As far as I know IMS noise does not lead to failure.
