Removing the yellow sticker from Hell!!

I have tried to remove the yellow warning sticker from the rear of my GT2 sport seats. It took 2 hours with a heat gun to get about half the sticker off.

Someone must know the trick to removing these decals in less than a day!

I have tried lacquer thinner, a heat gun and wd40. Nothing seems to touch the decal.

Any tips?

GooGone usually works well (Orange oil) rub it on, leave it in excess for awhile, then peel off easily.

When I was a kid I read to rub mayonnaise on it in PM mag. The oils in it will break down the glue, the key is giving the oils time to work. In fact anything w/ oil in it will do it.

Sometimes a steamer is good for this kind of applications. Heat gun sometimes does damages.

Guys, Goo Gone has the oil needed to penetrate the sticker. Just leave it on for a couple of hours and you'll get at least half of it off, then reapply. Just a few apps and it's all gone, plus NO DAMAGE to the seat back.

John

PS Any store has it

3m makes an "adhesive remover" that is guaranted to do teh job. I think it's made for paint, so make sue it's compatible with your surface.
