Looking at purchasing a 996TT
Hey everyone, been lurking on the forums here for a while learning all that I can about these great P-cars. I currently have a BMW 540i and am looking to trade up to a 996tt. I'm not in any hurry to buy but came across one in my area that I would like your opinions on. It has 60k miles but looks to be in good shape and has the maintenance records as well as a clean title. I would definitely get a PPI done before seriously considering purchasing it. I was planning on waiting until next spring to get one with lower mileage, but this one with the lower price seemed like something I should check into.

Yes I did and it came out clean, car has stayed local since it was new, it was a lease vehicle for most of its life.

Well now you have to just fit the price in your budget, but once you go Turbo you wont go, or should I say, cant go back ......

Looks like a great deal to me, but I recommend proceeding with caution- it was for sale months ago when I bought mine. I would imagine at that price, many have looked at it and passed for one reason or another

MPW32: I am in a similar situation as you but not ready to buy until next year. This one to me may be a red flag: high miles (relative), mods, low price, on the market for awhile. To me that reads it has been worked hard. Do a thorough PPI and DME for over revs, it may be fine but proceed with caution. Complete maintenance records (hopefully done my Porsche) would help. GL!
