Setting bilstein coil over suspension
Setting bilstein coil over suspension
I purchased a 996 turbo and it has full bilstein coil over suspension. Whatever setting it is on now is super stiff. Pretty rough. Can the settings be changed easily? (comfort setting.......hopefully) Or does one just buy a stock suspension? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
You can adjust the rear one's from inside the car. Behind the back seat. Pull the carpet back.
The fronts, crank the wheel and you can see the **** at the bottom of the shock.
If they are PSS10's higher number is stiffer. 9's lower number is stiffer.
They may not have markings on the rear so you have to go all the soft (or hard) and then count the clicks. The fronts are marked.
Fronts. Sorry for the bad blackberry pics

If you are asking 'how to adjust', just turn the blue ****'s in the pic. I would go all the way soft (or hard) and then count the clicks so you know what number you are on...
If you are asking 'what setting', that is what ever feels best to you. You can start by all the way soft and see you like it and then click them up one at a time.
The softer you go, the closer to stock you will be.
On PSS9's, 1 is the firmest and 9 is the softest.
On PSS10's, 1 is the softest and 10 is the firmest.
Do you have 9's or 10's
Do you know what yours are set to now?
