excellence cover car 2.6 secs 0-60
I just got my excellence magazine today and they did a feature on a new Werks 1 Champion 997.2 turbo. The car was blistering fast, but the PDK couldn't hold at 595 whp. Anybody seen this?

I get to see it every day.
I can tell you firsthand that it's almost unreal how fast it accelerates. The best way to describe it is like when you go on that crazy amusement park ride that takes your breath away for a few seconds right before the big drop.
And with PDK upgrades in the works, we should be able to shave a tenth or two off that number as well!

The multiple clutch friction disk design is very similar to my MV Agusta (wet) and (dry) Ducati. They seem larger in this application and scaled up for torque capacity. I am under the impression that all of these dual clutch gearboxes are wet clutches? If so, they would have superior heat capacity (created from hard launches) relative to a traditional manual or automated manual (like the first generation Ferrari F1 'box)
