Just happy with the decals that Todd made for me, as I wanted that specific colour and I was glad to remove the turbo badge off the boot. Had it detailed today and it looks amazing - I think that was the first time it has been done since it rolled out the factory - well worth the money.
Don't really know, but it will be one of the quickest 996tt in the UK for sure. There is a lot of competition, especially from other versions e.g. 993, 9FF cars and so on. There is bound to be someone quicker.
Know more on 12th June. The real test will be the IATs above 150mph. The ICs (5 inch) from Proto have been excellent up to that speed, so we will see how they perform at higher speeds.

If you put these exact mods on a 6 speed, it would get destroyed by this tip car. You would need more HP in a manual tranny car to keep up.
Looking good

Really clean setup!!! I really wanted to do the same with the Turbo logo and put a Boost Logic sticker, but it just didn't look like it fit really well. The Protomotive logo does look REALLY good there!!!

Quote from MKB.
"We'll offer you the reinforcement of the Porsche gearbox 996TT.
Replacing clutches and a bigger disc carrier to add discs.
Discs with a special surface used also for motorsport.
ETC reprogramming for torque up to 1300Nm.
We offer only the reinforcement and reprogramming
of the torque limit, no faster shifting points.
MKB warranty but only for normal street use,
no racetrack or other race activities.
We need the gearbox and ETC unit here in Germany for modification.
The torque converter is not needed because MKB can’t modify it."
Although they say they don't offer quicker shifts, they change the complete solonoid section which controls the pressures. My is shifting in half the time that it was, and I researched this as well. Clearly a TCU upgrade would probably make it even faster.
I had the torque converter split open in the UK by a specialist who brazen all the parts which increases the stall limit.
What they warrant is basically that it will work. Any problems you just send the gearbox back to them. They also replaced the O ring which is a common fault on these gearboxes at the same time.
It doesn't matter to them whether the gearbox has 1 mile, or 80000 miles. The issue is the clutch packs (strength and number), the solonoids, and the TCU. They do some other stuff as well, but they will not say what that is.
All I know is that it works, and if I get a problem, they will repair it free of charge.
