UK Protomotive complete with detailing today
Wow!
Very nice!
Now I see why you wanted the red stickers.... Great contrast to the all black
With an MKB upgraded tranny as well! Now it can hold the power he's putting out. It used to slip with anything over 1 bar ;p

Just for you...
I'm jealous of that MKB.
Very nice, thanks. You've got a beast right there. 5.5s 60-130 for sure or even lower.

Very nice looking car,but most important realy outstanding set up...that's what i want.Let me know how you feel your car in comparation of K24/18 if you had that too.
That car is supousse to fly high, tell us about the feeling.Congrats

Now I have this. I have not had a chance to really push her too much. I have done a verified 60-130 of 6.66 which is on the list. But that was full tank, full set of golf club, electric trolley the works.
We are going to Brunters on the 12th June. That is where they run the Vmax in the UK. So we will be able to do some proper testing for 4 hours. You can run 200+ at that place.
The only time I cranked her up (1.45bar) I had a 2.5 sec 60-100, 0-60 in 3.2, 100-200kph in 5.2.
So we will see.
To compare to K24/18g is quite difficult. My mate has these on a GT2 done at the same time by Todd K. He has just the 5fpr. He needs ICs at the moment because of heat soak. His car is very quick. We ran many vbox tests on his car. I would say two things: -
1) With this set up, I just cannot find lag on it. It is just instant response. With just the k24/18g and 5fpr/exhaust/DVs etc, there is lag.
2) I would say around 1.3 on the 18g is around 1.1 on the 20g approx. The big difference is that on the 18g you get all the power in a short shot. The 20gs seems to be there before, and take over when the 18g fade.
He has run 3.0 from 60-100, and has been in the 7secs from 60-130. Weight helps on this as well.
If I compare the cost difference, I would say the 18g upgrade is better value for money, but I cannot knock the full proto set with 20g - it is just awesome.
Finally, we ran 14.3 full load 0-150. So I will be interested on the 12th what the 0-300kph time will be - suspect it to be around 22/23 seconds.
I am just so pleased, especially with the sound of the BOVs.
The MKB is just brilliant. I have run the car on WOT at 1.45 bar and not a skip or jump - just smooth changing. I hope it continues.
Ken, I hope you're getting some $$ for all that free advertising your giving Proto !!! lol !
Looking forward to the 12th mate... check your email by the way for my pre-brunters spreadsheet... suspect it will take you all night to fill in the box asking for details on mods !!

Rolando
- K24/20g turbos with custom WG
- injectors
- twin fuel pumps
- 5 inch intercoolers
- full blown thru system
- IPD
- upgrade tiptronic gearbox to 1300nm, upgraded TC
- Porsche Motorsports performance friction brake upgrade (6 pots)
- Miltek 100 cell exhaust with headers ported and polished
- EBC allowing control from 550-680AWHP (add approx 28% for crank)
- standard internals, but all components on the engine when it was out were replaced e.g. all pipes, belts, coolant tank etc.
Regarding the question of manual v tip, I suppose it depends on what you are testing. I have run 0-100 in 6.69, so I think you would find traction difficult in manual for that - don't know. But to run this set up with a tip, you need the gearbox and TC upgraded.
