I haven't decided which route I am going to go for winter but was leaning toward the A6 4.2. I also thought about the LX470. My friend is a dealer so I am buying whatever I choose wholesale. What else could I get for the $28-35k range. I know of 2000-2001740isport. I would love a 2001 X5 4.4 but, my gf has one so I do not really want same car. 2001 A6 4.2, 2000 LX470. Anything else I should be looking at?

I had an A6 4.2, the suspension was mushy, and it felt like a Caddy, I had to upgrade the suspension, rims and tires.

Lsm,
The a6 4.2 is a great car, you definately get a hugh bang for the
buck, and if you have a dealer willing to sell you one near wholesale money you cant lose. But the time is now to do something, manheim pa. and West palm prices are starting to creep up in the anticipation of winter - good luck

I've got an '03 Honda Civic Hybrid, what's nice its that it looks like every other Civic sedan and doesn't stand out as much as a Prius....I figure that when I'm not toolin' around in the 996, I could save the enironment and gas....please don't laugh...I'm saving $2,000 a year in fuel costs too.

I am friends with a dealer so I am going to go to the auction with him. I can pick up an A6 4.2 for about 28k with 30k miles. Or I can get an 01 LX470 for 35-37k or a 00 for $32k. BTW, if any of you guys want, I can post the last two months sales at all the auctions on lx470's, A6 4.2 and 2.7t and A8's. Let me know. This is all I have though as these were the cars I was interested in. What else for that price??

***I've owned pretty much only BMW's and Porsche's in my life with 2 MB(which I did not like) Does the AUdi give even close to the experience the 540i sport gives?
